This October, Fashion Street is joining the awareness campaign against breast cancer with a series of events on an even larger scale than usual, throughout the entire month. The Pink October campaign focuses on prevention, education and community support. Visitors have the opportunity to register free mammography screenings during 3 selected days, participate on community sports programs, creative workshops, as well as listening to a series of podcast discussions that break down taboos.
This year’s featured beneficiary of the initiative is the Mellrákinfo Association: 50 percent of all ticket sales will be donated to them in order to support their work, and Fashion Street – in collaboration with its partners – will also put together 100 chemotherapy care packages for patients currently undergoing treatment.

In addition to prevention, dialogue and breaking down taboos are also key. Every Thursday in October, a new episode will be released in this four-part, groundbreaking podcast series, hosted by Csilla Tatár. During the discussions, recognized experts, individuals sharing their personal stories, and representatives of the Mellrákinfo Association will explore the medical, psychological, and social aspects of the disease. Among other topics, the series will address the impact on young women, effective communication with patients and emotional support, coping strategies, and workplace and managerial accountability – all in the spirit of breaking down taboos and promoting education.
The conversations will be available on the Fashion Street APP, as well as on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube.
